Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is inviting suitably experienced and qualified organisations to register their interest to participate in the procurement process for the delivery of the Muswellbrook Bypass project.
The New England Highway forms part of the National Land Transport Network (NLTN) between Sydney and Brisbane, extending from the Pacific Highway at Hexham, via Muswellbrook and Tamworth, to the Queensland border near Tenterfield. The highway is the major transportation artery of the Hunter Valley and New England regions, providing direct access to and from the metropolitan areas of Newcastle and Sydney.
Transport for NSW is planning for the design and construction of works for the delivery of the Project will generally include (but not be limited to):

9.3 km long bypass, with a single lane in each direction, from 300 m south of Milpera Drive to 370 m north of Koolbury Flats Row, including:

Southern tie-in with existing New England Highway

76 m long bridge over Muscle Creek Road and Main North railway line (Bridge Over Muscle (Creek Road)

114 m long bridge over Muscle Creek (Bridge over Muscle Creek)

43 m long bridge over Coal Road (Bridge over Coal Road)

376 m long bridge over Sandy Creek Road, Sandy Creek, Main North railway line and southbound exit ramp (Bridge over Sandy Creek).

Northern, central and southern interchange.

Applications for registration of interest are invited from Contractors who are on Transport for NSW F100 (Financial), B3 or above (Bridgeworks) and R4 (Roadworks) Register of Prequalified Contractors to undertake the design and construction of the Muswellbrook Bypass project
To successfully register interest to participate in the procurement process for the delivery of the Project, organisations must follow the instructions outlined in the attached documents titled “Registration of Interest for the Muswellbrook Bypass”.
TfNSW will accept receipt of registration documents until 2:30pm on 27 January 2023.
TfNSW may determine (in its absolute discretion) that it is appropriate to consider a late registration request.
This Project is jointly funded by the Australian Government.
It is a requirement for the project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for 'building work' for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the 'buidling works' is being carried out.
