Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / Newell Highway Upgrade - New Dubbo Bridge - 21.0000139295.2145

Tenders are invited from pre-qualified contractors with Transport for NSW under the National Prequalification Scheme at Roadworks Category R3 (or higher), Bridge Category B4 (or higher) and Financial Category F75 (or higher) for the construction of the Newell Highway Upgrade – New Dubbo Bridge.

The work generally involves the construction of a new bridge over the Macquarie River and construction of around 2.2 kilometres of new (Newell) highway and intersection upgrades between the Thompson Street/Whylandra Street intersection and the River Street/Bourke Street intersection in Dubbo,NSW.

The work includes; bridge construction, piling, earthworks, pavements, stormwater drainage, kerbs and medians, public utility adjustments/protection, street lighting, property adjustments, fencing and vegetation.

A pre-tender meeting, including a site inspection, will be held on Thursday 12 May 2022 at the Western Plains Cultural Centre 76 Wingewarra St, Dubbo NSW commencing at 9:00am. The pre-tender meeting may be changed to a web-based MS Teams meeting, for all tenderers, due to Covid-19 restrictions, but only if necessary and when directed by TfNSW. Unless otherwise so directed, all tenderers must attend the pre-tender meeting in person.

All tenderers who have downloaded tender documents will be automatically registered for the pre-tender meeting. If arrangements for the pre-tender meeting are required to be changed (to web-based for example) you will be contacted directly to advise of changes. If you wish to attend the pre-tender meeting and have not downloaded the tender documents, you will need to register to attend the pre-tender meeting by emailing NDB@transport.nsw.gov.au

By submitting an RFT for this project you will become subject to the Code for the Tendering and Performance of Building Work 2016.

 It is a requirement for this project that the successful contractor be accredited under the Australian Government Work Health and Safety Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme) at the time of entering into the contract for ‘building work’ for the Project and must maintain accreditation under the Scheme while the ‘building work’ is being carried out.
