Tender Details
Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking to engage a suitably qualified contractor to undertake the construction of a replacement wharf in the location of the existing Narooma Wharf. The new wharf facility comprises both fixed and floating components to connect, improve and increase the wharf area.
Key elements of proposal include:
- Staged demolition and removal of wharf deck and furniture, timber and concrete piles, utilities.
- Construction of new wharf of 77 meter long by three meters wide.
- Construction of 66 meter long by three meter wide pontoon.
- Installation of berthing and mooring infrastructure and wharf furniture.
- New sewage pump-out facility and sewer connection.
- Upgraded firefighting and power and water service pedestals.
- Upgrade of the seawall if required.

Pre-Tender Meeting
A pre-tender meeting will be held via Microsoft Teams on 18 April 2023 at 11:00AM. Details of this meeting will be provided to relevant organisations via email. Organisations wishing to attend the Pre-Tender Meeting are required to provide relevant contact details to Bhavin Desai at Bhavin.Desai@transport.nsw.gov.au.
Attendance is non-mandatory.
Participation in Tender
Organisations wishing to tender for the Narooma Wharf Replacement Project must first complete a valid Confidentiality Deed Poll and submit back to the Contact Officer bhavin.desai@transport.nsw.gov.au.
TfNSW retains the right to issue the Tender documentation to Organisations at it's sole discretion. Please contact the Contact Officer if you are unable to locate the Confidentiality Deed Poll.
Conditions for Participation
All tenderers are required to meet the following Minimum Requirements.
1) Tenderers must be able to demonstrate that their management systems meet the following requirements:
Work Health and Safety Management System
The Contractor’s WHS system must comply with the Work Health and Safety Management Guidelines for Construction Procurement (Edition 6, December 2019).
Environmental Management System
The contractor’s Corporate Environmental Management System must comply with ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System or AS/NZS 14001:2016.
Quality Management System
The Contractor’s quality management system must meet the requirements of TfNSW Quality Management System Specification Q6.
