Tenders are invited from professional engineering service companies for the provision of personnel to assist in site management activities on a number of projects to upgrade the Pacific Highway. Supply of services may also be required to other road construction projects located within the Hunter region. Companies must be able to demonstrate previous experience in the supply of highly skilled staff to assist in the site management of contracts to construct major new road projects that may include construction of significant bridge structures. Previous experience on RTA projects will be highly regarded.
The first project requiring the immediate supply of staff is the upgrade of the Pacific Hwy at Bulahdelah. The full time services required initially will include the provision of a highly experienced site engineer, a surveillance officer with demonstrated experience in the construction of major bridge structures and pre-cast yard surveillance, an environmental engineer/scientist with practical site experience on a major environmentally sensitive project, a community liaison manager with demonstrated success in the management of community issues on major construction projects and an administrative assistant with previous experience using the RTA’s electronic contract management system. Other project and support staff may be required on an as-needs basis during this 2.5 year construction project.
Other Pacific Highway upgrade projects which may require the supply of site management resources as they move from development into the delivery phase include Herons Creek to Stills Rd and the Kempsey Bypass.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, in accordance with the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry, August 2009, applies to this project.
All Tenderers must comply with the NSW Government Code of Practice for Procurement.
No pre-tender meeting or site inspection will be held.
