The Contract for which a Tender in accordance with these conditions is to be made shall be on a Schedule of Rates basis. The initial Tendered rate(s) will be fixed for the first twelve month period of the Contract, thereafter rates will be revised in twelve month intervals based on annual CPI provisions.

 

 

The scope of Contract Works covers the supply and delivery of:

 

·         Unbound & Modified Base & Sub Base Material For Surfaced Road Pavement

 

to various locations through-out the Wyong Shire local government area, as and when required and over a period of up to 36 months commencing from the date of acceptance of tender.

The Principal uses approximately 40,000 tonnes of Unbound and Modified Base and Sub Base Materials per annum. This amount can vary significantly according to work programmes and weather and is advised purely as a guide only. The Principal neither warrants or guarantees the actual quantity of road base materials required from any single or all approved Contractors.

The Principal reserves the right to award Contracts to one or more Tenderer’s and to obtain the specified materials from one or more sources of supply.

Subject to tenders received, the Principal is intending to rank suppliers on the basis of material(s) offered. Where two or more tenderers have offered material(s) that are, in the Principal’s opinion, directly comparable, the Principal will place orders with the highest ranked tenderer for that material. In the event that the highest ranked tenderer is unable to supply, the Principal will continue down the order of ranking until material can be sourced. 

Where, in the Principal’s opinion, materials are not directly comparable, the Principal will place orders with the accepted tenderer that has offered the most suitable, compliant and economic material as each situation demands.
