This contract will operate under the General Conditions of Contract AS4122-2000.
Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to undertake the detailed (stage 2) environmental site assessment of the former Gwandalan Landfill site for the purpose of future remediation of the site. The work will include:
- a field programme involving leachate characterisation, landfill gas investigation, surface water monitoring, groundwater assessment and geotechnical investigations;
- laboratory testing and analysis;
- analysis and reporting on results, including recommendations for future monitoring and remedial works at the site.
All work will be in accordance with current EPA guidelines for consultants reporting on contaminated sites. An EPA accerdited site Auditor will be appointed by Council to ensure the methodology and interpretation of results are in accordance with current guidelines and regulations.
