The Tumbi Umbi Creek Wetland Vegetation Rehabilitation Project is a Council initiative funded by the Environmental Trust under its Restoration and Rehabilitation (State and local Government) Programme. As a condition of the grant Council is obliged to observe the National Trust Restoration and Rehabilitation Guidelines for the 2007 Grants with particular consideration for the schedule of rates amounts allowed for Bush Regeneration Contractors. The wetland is located to the south of Wyong Road in Killarney Vale and drains into the southern end of Tuggerah Lakes. This invitation to tender is a Schedule of Rates Contract, delivered over a three year period. The works generally involve the rehabilitation of wetland vegetation by weed control using bush regeneration principals and practices. The works will be entirely undertaken within a listed Endangered Ecological Community. Only suitably qualified and experienced persons will be considered for the contract.
