The scope of Contract Works covers the Supply and Delivery of: Various Tools, Hardware and Fasteners to Councils Stores at Chelmsford Rd, Charmhaven and Morris Place, Long Jetty (or any other location required) or via direct purchase from the Contractor(s) premises, as and when required over a period of up to 36 months commencing from the date of acceptance of tender. The Contract for which a Tender in accordance with these conditions is to be made shall be on a Schedule of Rates basis, with a rise and fall adjustment based upon the Consumer Price Index (CPI) occurring at the 12 month anniversary of award. Prices will remain fix for the first 12 month period of the contract and adjusted only in accordance with CPI variations. It is mandatory that a site inspection of Councils existing Tools, Hardware & Fasteners range must be conducted by prospective tenderers prior to the closing of the tender to ensure that pricing offered conforms with the existing product range. Whilst the Principal favours the awarding of the Contract to a single preferred supplier, the Principal reserves the right to award Contracts to one or more Tenderers for all of or a range of individual products or group of products. Subject to tenders received, the Principal may rank tenders in order of price, quality, availability and conformance. Purchase Orders for supply of specified products will be issued to Contractors in order of rank.
