Wyong Shire & Gosford City Council, working as the Gosford/Wyong Joint Water Authority, have resolved to construct a system of water supply pipes, pumping stations and water intakes to transfer raw water from the lower Wyong River to the Mangrove Creek Dam. The purpose of this project is to improve harvesting of water flows in the Wyong River and store excess water in the Mangrove Creek reservoir for return to the Wyong water treatment plant in periods of low capacity in the Wyong system. Wyong Shire Council is the lead Council in the procurement of services for the project. Design and implementation services are sought from a consultant Professional Engineering Services Contractor (PS Contractor) to progress existing preliminary design and approval work into a complete set of designs, approvals and construction documents for the various project components. Consequent tendering, contract award and construction supervision and commissioning services will also be required for each project component. It is intended through this RFT process to select a PS Contractor to provide services for the various project components under the contractual basis set out in this RFT document.

A mandatory pre-tender briefing will be held at Wyong Shire Council, commencing at 11.00am on Monday 10 September 2007. Tenders received from tenderers who do not attend the briefing will be considered to be Non- Conforming.
