NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Debt Recovery Services - DAGJ 2013/23

It is expected that the tender respondent:

• is an Australian Proprietary Company;
• is accredited pursuant Quality Standard – AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008;
• is Licenced pursuant to Commercial Agents & Private Inquiry Agents Act 2004;
• has current broad form Public and Products liability insurance with an approved insurer for the amount of $20M;
• has worker’s compensation insurance in accordance with applicable legislation in respect to all of its employees;
• has current professional indemnity insurance with an approved insurer for the amount of $5M;
• can provide a commitment that the services will only be provided in the jurisdiction of NSW;
• can provide details of any sub-contractors that may be engaged as part of the contract;
• has implemented appropriate procedures to identify, evaluate and manage the risks associated with the performance of the service, including a documented and tested Business Continuity Plan;
• has a documented Occupational Health & Safety Policy with evidence that training has been delivered to all employees;
• has a documented complaints management process consistent with Australian Standard on Complaints Handling AS ISO 10002-2006;
• has a regular compliance training program including Trade Practices law, Privacy Act 1988 and the ASIC/ACCC “Debt collection guide: for collectors and creditors”;
• has appropriate Information Technology security to protect the integrity of the Department’s data;
• as the resourcing capacity to deliver the service being sought;
• will establish a separate trust account to be used solely for the deposit of payments collected from the Department’s debtors;
• will provide audited financial statements for the three previous financial years to enable assessment of the respondents financial health
