NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Residential Builders Panel Registration of Interest - LAHC 2018/288

The NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) is responsible for the management of the NSW Government’s social housing portfolio which comprises around 130,000 properties. The LAHC Projects Division currently programs and project manages a variety of work required to manage housing that is generally of a residential nature and can involve cottages, multilevel units, townhouses, villas, terrace housing and other housing construction. Projects Division activities range from design and construction of new housing developments, demolitions and upgrading of dwellings.

LAHC is establishing a Residential Builders Panel to enable LAHC staff to efficiently and effectively identify builders, with residential building experience and capability, to tender for building and construction opportunities.

A key requirement for consideration of inclusion in the panel is that builders must first be prequalified in the appropriate work categories under:

• SCM0256 General construction works valued up to $1 million – Note: Contractors that are solely Registered Contractors are not eligible.
• SCM1461 Contractor prequalification and best practice accreditation scheme for construction and related work valued $1 million and over – Note: Contractors that have solely Best Practice Accreditation are not eligible.

Builders must also have a current NSW Builders Licence.

There are two (2) work categories that will be covered under the Residential Builders Panel: 

1. New building and construction works (new supply)

2. Building upgrade works

Under its new Supply Program, Projects Division plans to deliver up to 900 new dwellings annually for the next ten (10) years valued up to $300 million. 

The building upgrade program is valued up to $100 million per annum. 

New supply and building upgrade works are both for LAHC and the Aboriginal Housing Office.  The works are required in metropolitan and regional areas.

The panel will be for a period of two years.

Interested pre-qualified suppliers are required to complete and return the attached ROI by 14 May, 2018 10.am by uploading their ROI response on eTenders.
