Tender Details

The Office of the General Counsel of the Department of Justice invites applications from junior counsel for appointment to a prequalified panel to provide legal representation to the Department of Justice and to assist in coronial inquests and inquiries.  Applications must be submitted before the close of business on 30 October 2015.

Applicants will be appointed to the prequalification panel following an application, evaluation and selection process with successful applicants appointed to the Panel for a period of 3 years with an option to extend for a further 2 years.

Information on the prequalification panel is now available [link]

If you have any questions, you may contact Lida Kaban, A/General Counsel on 8346 1388 or via email to enquiries_generalcounsel@justice.nsw.gov.au.

Please note that the right to engage counsel outside of the prequalification panel is reserved and there should be no expectation that appointment to the prequalification panel will generate any work.  Further, the appointment to the Panel is independent of any arrangements with the Crown Solicitor’s Office.
