Tender Details

This Request for Information is an information gathering process in which the Department seeks to collect information from the general supplier market on complete solutions for managing the introduction and illegal use of mobile phone contraband in NSW correctional centres. Such products may include, but are not limited to, cellular jamming devices, managed access solutions, and, detect and locate devices.

This Request for Information does not create any representations; either expressed or implied that any tender or procurement process will occur as a result of the information obtained or otherwise. 

This RFI is an information gathering process only. Should any procurement activity occur in relation to these services in the future, only general and not commercially sensitive information may be used to inform procurement specifications.

Additional Details / Instructions

The Department will treat all responses confidentially. Any persons involved in the review of information collected in this RFI process will be required to sign a Deed of Confidentiality and Privacy. 

CSNSW is working closely with the Corrective Services Administrator’s Council (CSAC) Emerging Technology Working Group of which it is a member, as well as the Australian Communications and Media Authority and the principal telecommunications carriers, Telstra, Vodafone, Optus and NBN to deliver on illegal mobile phone solutions. Information gathered from this Request for Information, may, unless the Respondent explicitly requests otherwise, be shared with those groups for the purposes outlined above.
