Tender Details
The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) is seeking applications from organisations with strong implementation science and intervention research skills to undertake an evaluation of two programs being delivered under the Their Futures Matter service system reform. These two programs for family preservation and restoration are Functional Family Therapy – Child Welfare (FFT-CW®) and Multisystemic Therapy for Child Abuse and Neglect (MST-CAN®). These models target the contributing factors of physical abuse and neglect, and treat trauma with the aim of preserving and restoring families and avoiding the need for statutory protection.
The objectives of the evaluations are to provide reliable, accurate information on the effectiveness of the programs on improving client outcomes and the cost-benefits to the system. The evaluations will inform policy decision-making and are required to inform longer-term decisions about scale, continuity of investment and effective allocation of resources. To achieve this, the evaluations will comprise process, outcome and economic evaluation components that meet the requirements of the NSW Government Program Evaluation Guidelines 2016 for programs of significant strategic importance and investment.
