NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Request for Tender for Provision of Graffiti Removal Day - DJ 2016 - 34

The project requires the successful Tenderer to coordinate a statewide day of community based graffiti removal and graffiti prevention work (Graffiti Removal Day).

The Department has a list of the top 50 local Councils that have the highest reported incidence of graffiti.

The objectives of the day are to: 

• engage the 50 NSW local government areas (LGAs) that have the highest reported incidence of graffiti vandalism to participate in Graffiti Removal Day; 

• encourage other metropolitan or regional Councils not listed in the top 50 NSW local government areas and, any other suitable government and non-government stakeholders to participate in Graffiti Removal Day; 

• increase community awareness of volunteer graffiti removal and prevention activities through targeted marketing and publicity activities; 

• encourage local and state government and non-government involvement, through partnership and support of Graffiti Removal Day;

• encourage community participation in graffiti removal and prevention activities; and

identify and develop strategies that will increase the effectiveness of Graffiti Removal Day in the following two years.
