Tender Details
The Department of Housing Major Projects Directorate seeks Tenders from suitably qualified Tenderers to provide for the Redfern Housing Redevelopment East Site:
* mechanical design services;
* lift (vertical transportation) design services;
* hydraulic services design including the wet fire design services; and
* electrical services design including the dry fire design services design.
The Tenderer is required to provide design services which:
* are of a high professional standard and in accordance with the contract;
* are of a high degree of merit;
* enable an innovative and cost effective delivery of the project;
* are achievable within the budget and time constraints set out in this RFT;
* comply with all relevant statutory and other requirements, including state and local council policies, acts, codes, Housing NSW guidelines, Building Codes of Australia, and Basix certificates;
* achieve a best practice approach to buildability; and
* accord with the project expectations with respect to ESD.
Tenderers are to tender for the four design services, Tenders for three or less services WILL not be considered. The Successful Tenderer will be awarded the Contract to complete some or all of the building services design disciplines, based on the draft Conditions of Agreement contained in this Request for Tender. Housing NSW reserves the right to award the services discipline packages on an individual basis.
DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICES
The Tenderer will be responsible for the design aspects of the following building services on the project:
* Mechanical Services including mechanical ventilation to wet areas and kitchens;
* Vertical transportation Services including all passenger lift services;
* Hydraulic Services including gas services, sanitary plumbing, drainage, stormwater, sewer/water amplification if required and Wet Fire Services Design including fire hydrant and fire hose reel plumbing;
* Electrical and Communications Services including lighting, security systems, technical advice on the procurement of the substation and Dry Fire Services Design;
* The Tenderer will also be required to coordinate the building services design with the ESD requirements of the Project.
