Tender Details
DCJ is inviting Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to express their interest in tendering to deliver Aboriginal-led Commissioning.
Approximately $4.3m (incl GST) in funding will be available over four years, commencing in 2022/2023.
Service providers that meet the eligibility criteria will be invited to a Request for Tender in September-October 2022 with the intent to start implementation before the end of the year.
Aboriginal-led Commissioning will give Aboriginal communities decision making power when it comes to the design, procurement, delivery, management, monitoring and evaluation of programs and services.
It will enable services and programs to build on the strengths of communities, to be culturally embedded, and responsive to the opportunities and needs that communities themselves identify.
Driven by principles of self-determination and accountability, this approach to commissioning will ensure that solutions are owned by Aboriginal communities, with Aboriginal children, young people, families and culture at its centre.
Initial commissioning activities will be targeted to child and family services, with the intention to extend the model to commission in all areas of service delivery. All eligible organisations are invited to register their interest.
