The Collective NSW is an innovative social investment approach to stakeholder engagement and collective impact.
The Collective creates a space for engagement across business, philanthropy, Non-Government Organisations (NGOs), the Commonwealth, State and local governments and the broader community to leverage social capital in addressing disadvantage in communities.
The Collective coordinates and invests time, talent and resources for social impact that is measurable through a social outcomes framework. This work supports FACS to deliver social investment and NGO engagement in a localised context.
The key objective of the project is to contract an organisation for the co-ordination, establishment, implementation and management of a Trust Fund to support the work of The Collective NSW.
A “for purpose” Trust Fund for social and collective investment projects is proposed to attract social investment and support initiatives to address social disadvantage across NSW, with the potential to be implemented nationally.
Whilst social capital is the primary focus for the Collective NSW, it is anticipated that investment will also be available through donations from corporates and other similar entities.
The Trust Fund will provide benefit to Family and Community Services (FACS) through transparency, governance and social return on investment.
