Tender Details
The Department of Family and Community Services (FACS) is leading new funding prevention projects and is undertaking a procurement process to fund suitable providers to undertake projects in domestic and family violence primary prevention. FACS is seeking applications from capable and willing organisations with the ability to deliver domestic and family violence prevention projects.
The aim of the funding program is to build innovation, effective practice and evidence through the design and delivery of projects which contribute to the social, attitudinal and behavioural change necessary to prevent domestic and family violence.
The prevention projects will deliver domestic and family violence primary prevention activities. Primary prevention is an emerging area of practice worldwide and there is a need for more evidence about ‘what works’. Primary prevention strategies seek to prevent violence before it occurs via addressing the individual, inter-personal, community and societal contexts which support and sustain violence.
