NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Single Adult Support Specialist Homelessness Services - DCJ2022001

The service is to support homeless clients currently in DCJ Temporary Accommodation. 

The service will provide supports to people from Cumberland, Parramatta, Blacktown and Penrith LGA's.

The focus for supports is single males and single females over 25 years and for Aboriginal clients over 18 years to:

• Support people with complex needs while in DCJ temporary accommodation

• Increase participants’ social connection to improve overall wellbeing

• Assist people in temporary accommodation to stay in place and manage physical distancing and isolation requirements as needed

• Transition people formerly sleeping rough into long-term stable accommodation

• Prevent returning to homelessness that can occur following a failed social housing tenancy

• Enhance tenants’ capacity to manage their tenancies independently by developing the daily living skills and self-management that are required
