Tender Details

Corrective Services Industries are seeking competitive quotes from Registered Training Organisation or organisations affiliated to a Registered Training Organisation with national accreditation to conduct competency based assessments for heavy vehicle licence classes.

The term of the contract will be a period of 12 months duration from date of signing the agreement and the scope of the contract will include the following:

. Provide 20hrs of truck driving lessons (or more if required) including competency based assessments, on a per inmate basis for the following licence classes: HR  Syncromesh/ Auto ( “B Condition”) – (Majority of course participants), HC  Syncromesh/Auto (”B Condition”) and MC  Syncromesh/ Auto ( “B Condition”)

· Be available to carry out minimum 35 weeks training per year scheduled monthly intakes at the following correctional centre locations: Windsor, Oberon, Bathurst and Cessnock.

· Training to be carried out within the time frame of Monday to Friday between 0700hr -1900hr

· Training environment will be a correctional complex, the roads on the complex and on public roads

· Provide a positive training environment for program participants to gain skills in the transport and logistics industry for placement into employment and / or employment based training on release

· The Training Provider will work closely with CSI, Adult Education Vocational Training Institute (AEVTI) and centre staff in the coordination of the services. Management of the Training Provider contract will be the responsibility of CSI.

· Contact from time to time with the RMS, industry groups, potential employers and employment services providers to form strong links and assist with the marketing and coordination of the program.
