NSW Department of Communities and Justice / Maintenance and Support Services for Biometric Identification Systems - 0312-06

Corrective Services NSW (CSNSW) invites tenders for the provision of maintenance and support services for Biometric Identification Systems (BIS) installed in seven Correctional Centres in NSW.

Biometric Identification Systems comprise the electronic security systems which manage the identification processes for inmates, correctional centre officers and visitors.

The work will include the provision of all personnel, services, and equipment necessary to service and maintain the CSNSW State wide integrated central biometric identification server system.

Organisations may bid to provide maintenance and support services in one or more Correctional Centres. The successful tenderer must also have in place a dedicated Sydney based engineering team to provide 24 / 7 /365 support. The proposed contract will be for an initial three year term with two 12 month extension options

Under the proposed contract CSNSW may also request the expansion, removal, relocation and or upgrade of the biometric system.

Tenderers will be expected to demonstrate a preparedness to adhere to CSNSW requirements and procedures of entering and working in CSNSW buildings including undergoing security clearance.

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Tenderers will normally be required to demonstrate in their tender that they have the necessary skills, resources, experience, financial capacity, and in some cases licences, accreditations, etc., to fulfil the tender requirements.
