Particulars of the goods or services to be provided under this contract

This contract is due to the Australian Energy Market Operator (AMEO) withdrawing the retailer licence from DCJ’s incumbent large-site gas supplier. In accordance with current legislation the Australian Energy Regulator (AER) appointed a Retailer of Last Resort (RoLR) to take over the supply of natural gas to these sites, thus rendering the previously negotiated supply rates null and void.
This contract is to establish a new short-term supply agreement with fixed prices so as to minimise exposure to the volatile market spot prices, generate savings and provide enough time undertake a procurement process for the establishment of a longer-term agreement with even further reduced rates.
