The NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) is committed to enhancing its vehicle connectivity and communication capabilities to ensure effective firefighting and emergency response across the state. To achieve this, the RFS has partnered with NSW Telco Authority to initiate the procurement of a VaaN Connectivity Solution, which aims to provide seamless internet connectivity to firefighting vehicles. The solution will at a minimum include LEO satellite services and hardware, as well as mesh/4G routers and hardware, to provide seamless and robust connectivity for operational communications, enhancing RFS’ communication and operational efficiency.
