Customer Service / Development of Dementia-Specific Day Care Centres - Request for Proposals - 0602427

Request for Proposals (RFP) for the allocation of capital funding for the development of Dementia-Specific Day Care Centres in each of 16 DADHC Local Planning Areas in NSW, plus other facilities meeting DADHCs regional priorities.

The Commonwealth and NSW Governments, through the NSW Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC), are currently funding a three-year Home and Community Care (HACC) capital works program targeted to dementia-specific day care centres.

Organisations or consortia submitting a Proposal must include a pre-registered HACC service provider

The objectives of the program include the procurement of the capital works and the ongoing HACC service provision for a dementia-specific day care facility in each of the 16 Local Planning Areas in NSW.

Funding is being made available from the HACC Capital Program for the land and building component of dementia-specific day care facilities, including:

• Acquisition of new facilities via for example, the purchase of land and construction of new buildings
  
• Modifications to existing property to improve access and/or service provision to client target groups.

Request for Proposals - An invitation for expressions of interest / seeking preliminary proposals. In many cases these may be used as a basis for shortlisting tenderers, along with other criteria such as expertise and experience. Prospective tenderers are initially evaluated for their proposal against the relevant selection criteria. A number of those who best meet the criteria are invited to tender. For complex or some other types of procurement, where the product or service outcomes are highly dependent on the content of the proposals received from Tenderers, the outcome may be negotiated.
