This RFQ is being issued to selected suppliers under the following NSW Government contracts for the replacement of end-of-life server infrastructure, implementation of a SAN at DSRD's Data Centre in the Sydney CBD and centralised backup solution for Sydney CBD and eighteen (18) regional sites.
Contract 846 Midrange / Mainframe / StorageComputer Systems, UPSs, Associated Software and Support Services
Scope:
An enterprise class Storage Area Network (SAN) to be located in the data centre at the Head Office of DSRD.
Server hardware to replace existing servers at DSRD Head Office and regional sites that are at end-of-life. The existing servers run Novell NetWare OS and are used for file/print and GroupWise messaging.
Additional server hardware where specified.
UPSs and related computer and electrical hardware to support server and communications infrastructure.
A centrally managed Data Replication Solution for Novell Netware servers at DSRD regional sites.
A centrally managed Enterprise Backup Solution with associated backup and management software located at the DSRD Head Office.
Consulting and services to design and implement all solution components of the project.
Training and knowledge transfer to ensure efficient and effective operation of both the hardware and the software environments.
As-built, systems documentation for all solution components of the project.
