Tender Details

The NSW Department of Commerce (DoC) provides assistance in water management mainly to, or through, Government agencies in undertaking water audits and water monitoring services.

Since 2001 Radcom loggers had been used in conjunction with a GSM modem to provide automated web monitoring. For the last few years DoC has been researching the market and encouraging potential suppliers to provide a product that is a suitable more cost effective replacement unit.

To provide a basis from which to offer this service DoC is providing an opportunity for interested parties who have previously been approached or have approached DoC to respond to this tender.

The water meter logger will receive a dry contact pulse input from the water meter. This input most often represents 10 litres of water. The logger shall count the number of pulse recorded each 5 minutes and save this information into memory. Normally all of the 5 minute intervals will be uploaded by email to the Manly Hydraulics Laboratory (MHL) Web server once per day, but this can be programmed more regularly if desired.

A specification of the major requirements for these units. As noted, in T7 (Conditions of tendering) in the RFT document, alternativeswill be considered however a table of predetermined cost impacts for expected non-conformity will be used in assessing tenders
