Customer Service / Prospect Reservoir Scour Upgrade - 0900498

The work required under the Contract includes but is not limited to:

End of Scour Line  & Valves

·    design, supply and installation of 900mm minimum internal diameter polyethylene liner drawn through the existing 1,200mm diameter concrete pipework at the downstream section of the outlet tunnel
·    possible modifications to the existing end of tunnel access/ventilation shaft for construction purposes
·    cutting and removal of existing pipework and modifications to the existing concrete block
·    upgrading of the end of tunnel access/ventilation shaft including access ladders.
·    transport and delivery of  Endo of Line (EoL) valves from SCA Warragamba Dam office
·    installation of EoL valves and all associated fittings

Guard Valves inside the Tunnel

·    design, supply and installation of permanent structure to install/remove the Guard Valve-units and associated pipework.

·    design, supply and installation of pipe sections, taper pieces, thrust flanges, dismantling joints and all associated fittings for the installation and connection of the guard valves into the existing CI pipework. 

·    installation of the free issue Guard Valves, hydraulic control system, counter weights and all associated fittings including install locking devices.

·    lock open and close relevant existing triple gate valves

·    design, supply and install switchgear and control gear assembly cabinet on platform at outlet structure as shown on drawings.

·    design, supply and install two switch stands adjacent to each valve as shown on drawings

·    supply and install electrical power supply to the valve switchgear control cabinet

·    allowance for commissioning and testing

Guard Valves Installation Works

·    connect hydraulic system to Guard Valve switchboard

·    supply, install and connect electrical power supply to the guard valve switchboard

·    supply, install and connect local control panel adjacent to each Guard Valve and associated equipment to the Guard Valve switchboard

·    supply, install and connect end of line valve new control cabinet  to the guard  valve control switchboard in the existing inlet tower via optical fibre cable with associated component

·    Commission works

Mandatory site inspection & meeting
All firms expecting to tender are to attend a mandatory site inspection & meeting to be held on 14/12/09, 10 AM Sydney time.
The meeting will be held at Sydney Water Conference Room,  located opposite to Prospect Scour Intake Tower.
It shall be a requirement for tenderers to wear PPE including safety vest, helmet and footwear during inspection.
