Deliverables Description Detailed project plan

The detailed project plan should include information such as key timings and milestones, risks and mitigation, review and feedback of draft content by the Department, evaluation process and preparation of the final data report. This can be discussed during the inception meeting.

Redevelopment of the Existing Course and receipt of the Modified Training Course

The Department seeks engaging and practical sector resources accessible to targeted educators and staff, that provide key regulatory quality and safety information and guidance. The Department welcomes innovative ideas Red Nose might have about engaging language, content and interactivity. Any additional content and included materials are to be sourced from reputable sources, expert industry specialists and/or accredited by a relevant sector expert such as NSW government departments or ACECQA. The purpose of the redevelopment is to bring the Existing Course in line with the October sleep regulation changes (84A-D) to create the Modified Training Course. The Department is to provide Red Nose with an extracted version of the Existing Course, with suggested changes as a starting point for amendments. This will consider any video content that contains names, logos or any identifying imagery of current services or providers being removed. Any key information included in the video to be included in another manner, such as text based interactive content or other. Red Nose will develop the Modified Training Course to be hosted on Red Nose’s LMS platform. As part of the existing format of the nine modules, the following concepts must be included: 1. Division 1A Sleep regulation changes (October 2023); 2. Supervision – sleeping/resting children always being in sight and hearing distance of an educator; 3. Supervision – physical checks of sleeping/resting children; 4. Safe equipment; 5. Safe environment; and 6. Effective risk assessments, policies and procedures for safe sleep. The completion certificate is to be amended to include the completion date and distinguish between Red Nose's Existing Course and the Department's funded enrolments into the Modified Training Course. Red Nose must provide draft content to the Department’s project team for review and feedback. Red Nose must work with the project team to address feedback and suggested amendments and allow adequate time for this to occur. Timelines for review and feedback will be determined between the Department and Red Nose and may be subject to change. Send draft built modules for review by the Department (noting content will have been approved by the Department already). The relevant Department executive must approve the final content prior to delivery. The Modified Training Course should be culturally responsive and support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander providers in participation and engagement. The target audience for the Modified Training Course will be all early childhood education and care sector staff, including approved providers, service leaders and educators. Content must consider the targeted audience with reflection of educational level, learning needs, knowledge and experience of the targeted audience. Red Nose should develop the Modified Training Course to be inclusive and consider continued accessibility for participants. The Modified Training Course must consider the department’s accessibility guidelines, specifically, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. This includes registration questions, explicit consent for data sharing between Red Nose and the Department in the form agreed in writing between the parties and pre and post feedback surveys using the Department's evaluation framework.

Data Reporting

Red Nose will provide a final data report based on provided analytics and monthly data on pre/post survey results, with monthly completion data planned as a part of the work. This includes Department specific requirements regarding feedback such as surveys, registration information and completed participant achievements. The Department will provide Red Nose with mandatory datasets and registration questions to support the measurement of outcomes and success indicators, for example how the evaluation will be performed, measurable outcomes and indicators of success.
