The NSW Department of Education is interested in partnering with organisations in support of the 2024 and 2025 Premier’s Teacher Scholarships. Each scholarship is valued at $15,000 and involves a five-week study tour where teachers can research highly acclaimed schools, education institutions and learning centres in their nominated regions nationally in Australia and abroad in Europe, USA, UK and Asia.
The scholarships provide a unique opportunity for teachers to develop skills and knowledge in their field of expertise and students benefit directly from the research and teaching methods.
The scholarships will be awarded in 2023 and 2024, and the recipients will commence travel between January – September 2024 and 2025 consecutively.
The department is offering scholarships in thirteen categories ranging from STEM, Literacy, Health and well-being and Aboriginal Education to name a few. For a list of the all the categories refer to the RFT preview documents.

Conditions for Participation
The NSW Department of Education supports sponsorship arrangements with appropriate organisations, individuals, businesses and other government agencies whose practices, priorities and objectives are consistent with the policies, principles, vision and goals of public education in NSW.
Successful respondents to the EOI will be required to countersign Sponsorship Agreements or Letters of Agreement subject to:

Estimated Timeframe for Delivery
The 2024 & 2025 Premier’s Teacher Scholarship applications open early May and recipients will be awarded in late October respectively (TBC).
