The NSW Department of Education (DoE or the Department) has an electronic Catalogue (eCatalogue) system that services public schools throughout NSW for routine purchasing needs.  DoE's eCatalogue service was originally deployed in 2008 and currently operates with approximately 31,000 sessions per month. 

The eCatalogue contains over 1,300,000 items provided by approximately 70 suppliers and is a highly valued service, heavily utilised by over 100,000 Department users. 

Our eCatalogue system needs replacing to better accommodate the growth of the Department and to continue to provide high levels of service to NSW Schools. A key objective of the Expression of Interest (EOI) is to ensure that the Department simplifies procurement activity to support compliance and reduce red tape.  Therefore, this EOI will seek solutions that strongly leverage Cloud infrastructure; will examine scalability of the technology; and review how other electronic procurement tools, such as source to contract, could be incorporated so that the overall solution best meets the Department’s needs into the future.

2. Once you have successfully registered on the DoE Ariba portal please email ittenders@det.nsw.edu.au with the Project ID (DoE81898172) as the subject of the email to notify the department of your interest in this application.

Interested parties must be registered in DoE Ariba as above in the 'Additional Details/Instructions'

3. To be eligible for participation respondents must be registered under the NSW ICT Services Prequalification Scheme.

The successful Respondent will be engaged under the ICT Services Prequalification Scheme.

The EOI is expected to be released via DoE Ariba no later than 7 April 2017 and is expected to close no later than 28 April 2017.
