Tender Details
The NSW Department of Education is offering a range of opportunities to organisations with the capacity to support CAPERS, an arena-style arts production, that brings together local communities to celebrate the talents of public school students and teachers from the New England area of NSW. The event, held every two years, will be staged at Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 November 2023.
In rural and remote areas, the significance of arts education cannot be overstated. The NSW Department of Education, a frontrunner in this field, recognises and emphasises the value of providing diverse artistic opportunities in various art forms and settings, aiming to foster student achievement, equity and self-expression.
By actively participating in artistic activities within their schools, students gain confidence and motivation, leading to improved attendance, academic performance, and overall well-being. Moreover, arts education equips children and young people with essential life skills, enhancing their communication abilities and cultivating a growth mindset.
The NSW Department of Education partners with many organisations whose support for school education programs adds significant value to student learning experiences. Our partners contribute cash and in-kind support to a range of ongoing learning programs as well as educational initiatives. The department in return provides profiling and other benefits.
