Department of Education / NSW Government IT Traineeship Program - DOE02498/21

Provision of a two (2) year NSW ICT traineeship program that:

• involves NSW public sector agencies as host employers

• targets 50 school leavers/youth (trainees) each year

• targets 50% of trainees to be women, 10% to Aboriginal and 5% to be people with disabilities

• links to the achievement of a full VET qualification in ICT

• will provide relevant vendor specific certification for all trainees

• focuses on youth from disadvantaged backgrounds in both regional and metro areas

• is managed by a Group Training Organisation (GTO)

• will engage with the new Institute of Applied Technology as training provider when opened in 2022
