Department of Education / Provision of Card Readers for TAFE NSW Sydney Institute - DETPD0912

The NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) TAFE NSW Sydney Institute is seeking Request for Tenders (RFT) for the provision of Card Readers for the TAFE NSW Sydney Institute.

NSW TAFE Institutes currently use a Student TAFE card and employee identification card to access building, records and auxiliary services. The objective is to provide NSW TAFE Sydney Institute with a card reader device that are attached to MFD’s and printers that permits Students and staff to access remote printing and follow me print solutions.

The card reader machines must be small and easily adaptable to fit any major brand of MFD’s and printers that may be used within the TAFE environment. The card devices must be capable of displaying the students account balances.

The TAFE Students and Staff must be able to access selected MFD or printer within the institute from their desktop.   TAFE Staff and Students can use a combination of their name and a unique pin number in the order for printing cost to be debited from their individual account or allocated to a cost centre.
