Tender Details

The purposes of this project are to:

§  Evaluate what schools are doing to initiate and develop external partnerships with universities, parents, other schools, communities, employers and other agencies, their effectiveness and the medium and long term consequences of those initiatives for student, school and post school outcomes.

§  Provide timely feedback to systems and schools to inform changes/refinements to maximise effectiveness of partnership activities and implementation processes, including the identification of any challenges to implementation and sustainability, as programs progress.

The National Partnership Agreements on Literacy and Numeracy, Low Socio-economic Status School Communities (Low SES) and Improving Teacher Quality were agreed by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) on 28 November 2008.

The Low Socio-economic Status School Communities Smarter Schools National Partnership aims to transform the way that schooling takes place in schools in disadvantaged communities, recognising that entrenched social and educational disadvantage are major barriers for children and young people.
