Tender Details

The purpose of this project is to evaluate how, and how effectively, schools and systems have been able to concentrate, maintain and retain professional resources such as high performing principals and teaching staff in low SES community schools in NSW. The evaluation should consider the relative impact of incentives offered. The evaluation should also examine the effect on accountability of the strategies employed by Low SES schools.

The National Partnership Agreements on Literacy and Numeracy, Low Socio-economic Status School Communities (Low SES) and Improving Teacher Quality were agreed by the Council of Australian Governments (COAG) on 28 November 2008.

The Low Socio-economic Status School Communities Smarter Schools National Partnership aims to transform the way that schooling takes place in schools in disadvantaged communities, recognising that entrenched social and educational disadvantage are major barriers for children and young people.
