Tender Details

This Request for Tender (“RFT”) is made by the NSW Department of Education and Training (“the Department”) for bulk supply and distribution of the classroom education products defined in the Statement of Requirements of this RFT.

The Department is responsible for the delivery of the tender process through the Department’s Procurement Directorate. Any Agreement that may be formed from this RFT will be executed by the Department of Education and Training on behalf of the State of New South Wales.

The Department is seeking to establish a panel of capable suppliers for the supply of educational products to schools for its annual Back to School (BTS) Program.  The Department’s intention is to have;

·           a maximum of two delivery periods in this Program;

·           a single delivery per school, per delivery period; and

·           a minimum of 2 suppliers suitable for all DET Regions.

It is a fixed programmed ordering process conducted annually.

This supply solution is to seek capable suppliers to supply each DET Region.  Schools will have the choice to purchase their Back to School (BTS) requirements from a minimum 2 suppliers which may include local suppliers, cross-regional suppliers and/or state-wide supplier/s.

This BTS Program commences September 2010 and concludes March 2011.  Subject to the supplier’s performance, the Department may offer an extension for the 2011-2012 BTS Program period and similarly for the 2012-2013 BTS Program period.
