Tender Details
Greater Southern Area Health Service (GSAHS) is seeking tenders from not-for-profit non-government organisations (NGO) wishing to provide a home based outreach service (HBOS) to people with mental illness who are seriously at risk of homelessness and who have been, or are currently also supported by the Quamby House program in Albury.
This will be a partnership program between GSAHS, specifically, Albury Mental Health Services, the Quamby House Program of the St Vincent de Paul Society and the successful NGO. This program is designed to assist people with serious mental health problems requiring accommodation and disability support and psycho-social rehabilitation to participate in community life, maintain successful tenancies and improve their quality of life.
A major focus of this program is to break the cycle of hospital admissions and homelessness experienced by a small target group of seriously mentally ill people who experience extreme difficulty living in the community and to help them to be socially included into normal community life.
