Western NSW LHD is undertaking this market sounding in order to obtain feedback on Medical Imaging service options within the new Cowra Hospital, as part of a Commissioning for Better Value approach. Future steps may include a formal approach to market, and if this is the strategy, a statement of requirements will be developed that incorporates industry feedback with respect to the feasibility of the procurement activity, the capability of the market, the existence of a competitive market, opportunities for innovative models to meet the health and imaging needs of the population and service, and the capacity of the market to meet the requirements.
