NSW Health / 902M - Pharmaceuticals (902M – 1113) Meropenem - HSS-HC-10-902-Meropenem

This is a tendering exercise supplementary to 902 – Pharmaceuticals, (which was awarded in 2011, and commenced on 1 August, 2011).

This tender is for formulations and presentations of Meropenem ONLY.

It is ONLY open to suppliers of the current 902 – Pharmaceuticals contract (this restriction being based upon advice HSS-BPS Pharmaceuticals Team currently holds that all properly registered potential suppliers of Meropenem to the NSW market are current suppliers on this contract).

With the foregoing in consideration, the State Contracts Control Board (“the Board”) seeks tenders for Meropenem products.

Tenderers are advised that all successful suppliers must supply under the same terms and conditions as they are currently committed to for 902 – Pharmaceuticals.

Therefore, Tenderers are only required to submit the details as sought in the Excel spreadsheet accompanying these instructions, entitled ‘902M – Meropenem Response and Pricing Schedule’.

All conditions of the original 902 – Pharmaceuticals contract and RFT apply, with the following variations to be noted:

1. Tender Issue Date:  15 December, 2011

Tender Close Date: 22 December, 2011

Tender Close Time: 4:00 PM EDST (Sydney Time)

NOTE: 7 DAY TENDER PERIOD ONLY

1. Tender Validity Period:

Offers must be valid for consideration three (3) months from the time of submission.

1. Tender Price Variation:

Mechanisms tenderers select for their Meropenem offer must conform to one of those available in the original RFT; however, Tenderers should indicate if they wish to supply Meropenem on a different price variation basis to their other products, and if so, what this basis is.

This can be indicated in the ‘Price Variation’ section of the ‘902M – Meropenem Response and Pricing Schedule’

Contract Period:

Agreement for supply will be effective commencing from award (expected in late January, 2012) through to 31 July, 2013 (with 3 x 12 month extension options), as per the current 902 – Pharmaceuticals contract.
