NSW Health / Supply and Installation of Metal Panels to the Griffith Base Hospital Parapets, Facades and Columns - GS008_2010

BACK GROUND
Early in February 2009 a concrete façade panel disengaged itself from the exterior of the Griffith Base
Hospital. Immediately after the panel disengaged itself local Structural Engineers carried out a site
investigation and confirmed that all the panels are structurally unsound and need to be removed.
Following on from this report GSAHS has contracted out and completed the removal of all the panels.
This tender involves the supply and installation of new metal panels to the Griffith Base Hospital
Parapets, Façades and columns.
Note; The specification and drawings refer to using Alucobond Panels for the Parapets,
Facades and Columns however other alternative products will be considered if they are the
same as or equal to Alucobond specifications.
