NSW Health / Haematology Analysers - HSS/HC-10-1005

WPC requires to purchase network wide, Haematology Analysers with a view to standardising testing, training and quality of service in Haematology diagnostic services across the cluster.  In addition, the new instrumentation will be viewed as an opportunity to introduce efficiency of service and economies of scale where this can be achieved without compromising the commitment to provide the required local levels of service.  A replacement platform will only be considered from tenderers whose offers at least meet current key determinants of assay performance.

The Children's Hospital at Westmead needs to update its haematology analysers with a view to improving the quality and efficiency of the haematology diagnostic service. In particular it is seeking a platform that will allow increased automation within the paediatric setting, with appropriate software support to allow development of a paperless system, increased rates of autovalidation, automated slide making and staining as well as providing a means to monitor workflow and performance within the laboratory.  Offers in which the proposed platform provides improvements to current laboratory workflows by streamlining and consolidating the steps of the testing process will also receive favourable consideration.
