Tender Details
The ROI process is the first step in the Government partnering with conservation organisations to reintroduce extinct iconic mammal species to NSW. The ROI process is being used to gather information from potential conservation partners who have demonstrated experience in the reintroduction of mammals and associated conservation management activities.
The NSW Government is seeking innovative ideas from respondents that will involve partnering with the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), including the National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS), in the management of approximately 250,000–300,000 hectares of national parks to reintroduce and protect mammals currently extinct in the wild in NSW. This will include the establishment and management of predator-free/fenced exclusion areas of several thousand hectares within suitable parks.
