Transport for NSW (Transport Infrastructure Projects) / RFP - Portable Weigh Scales(PWS) - RMS2019/002

This Request for Proposal (RFP) relates to the delivery of 278 Portable Weigh Scales (PWS) including battery chargers.

RMS is the agency in NSW responsible for heavy vehicle over mass enforcement. The PWS are to be used by Enforcement Operations Inspectors to conduct over-mass enforcement by weighing heavy vehicles in NSW to ensure regulatory and road safety requirements are maintained.

From the 278 PWS required, 259 will be "SHORT" PWS. These will be used for vehicles with either single of dual wheels or super singles. The remaining 24 will be "LONG" PWS and these will be used to weigh special purpose vehicles some of which may have quad wheels.

Within five weeks of the submission deadline, selected proponents will be required to provide 1 complete set of PWS (that is either 6 SHORT or 8 LONG) including battery charger for field trials. These field trials will form part of the evaluation process.
