Market Development & Research Division (MD&R) of the Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) is responsible for pre planning and developing of short, medium and long-term strategies to meet operational needs, accommodate patronage growth and meet the business objectives of RailCorp.
In particular, MD&R conducts customer surveys both regular satisfaction monitoring and ad-hoc research projects. This Division is also responsible for monitoring current passenger demand, providing forecasts of passenger demand and conducting economic and financial evaluations of major projects.
The Services to be provided by the Tenderer are specific to individual tasks and will be under the supervision of the Manager Marketing & Market Development. Separate briefs or scope of services will be issued for individual tasks. The Services will be required over a period of 24 months which may be extended by another 12 months at the discretion of RailCorp. The final number of Panel Members shall be at the sole discretion of RailCorp.
RailCorp seeks tenders for a panel for Market Research to undertake:
1. Qualitative research (e.g. focus group discussions, in-depth expert interviews, ethnographic research, etc.);
2. Quantitative interviewing by telephone (CATI), online and face-to-face (RailCorp customers as well as non-customers); and
3. Data analysis, interpretation and reporting.

Without limitation, the proposed scope of services outlined in the Registration Document may be subject to amendment in accordance with Addenda issued under clause A14 of the Conditions of Registration.
