Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Pilot of Network Reliability/Service Modelling - 08/04051

Generally the Project scope is to conduct specified analysis scenarios using the Service Providers software application with RailCorp supplied data. The overall focus of the Pilot is to evaluate the software application process and results to determine if the analysis approach will: " provide outputs that RailCorp can use to make effective investment decisions " provide an adequate understanding of the analysis process within the application and the applications ability/performance to perform this analysis " assist RailCorp to understand the analysis business process and the effort required by RailCorp to collect useable inputs " assist RailCorp to determine an appropriate way to implement the analysis process within RailCorp (eg insource or outsource). The section of track/service selected to model is the corridor from Central Station to Penrith Station being approximately 55km long and consisting of 34 stations and has perhaps the highest density of traffic. RailCorp has reasonable performance data to draw on and there are several scenarios and development projects of interest along this corridor for which decisions are pending
