Rail Corporation of New South Wales (RailCorp) is inviting offers from interested parties for the purchase and removal of a number of rail cars and wagons (referred to herein as the Goods) in accordance with the terms of the RFT Document

Rail Corporation of New South Wales (RailCorp) is inviting offers from interested parties for the purchase and removal of a number of rail cars and wagons (referred to herein as the Goods) in accordance with the terms of the RFT Document.  These cars/wagons are:

§         Ten (10) carriages from the double deck Tulloch Trailer series with car numbers T4828, T4843, T4847, T4849, T4850, T4854, T4857, T4864, T4877 and T4881;

§         Wash cars (Car Nos. 3996, 3997, 3998 and 3999);

§         Flat top wagons (Wagon Nos. W2691, L1401 and NFLF25654Y);

§         Ballast wagons (Wagon Nos. NHWF775U, NHWF-W1211, WSC-W1497 and NHWF-W786); and

§         A single deck Tulloch suburban power car (Car No. C3652).

 

The Goods are located at RailCorps Chullora Yard at Worth Street, Chullora in New South Wales and have been broken into a number of separable parts for tendering purposes.  These items are considered surplus to requirements and will be sold by tender, at RailCorps sole discretion, on an "as is - where is" basis.  The carriages are known to contain hazardous materials (i.e. asbestos containing materials, synthetic mineral fibres and possibly lead based paints) in specific areas within the carriages.  Technical details relating to the hazardous materials as well as other information including approximate carriage weights, dimensions etc are listed in Part D.

 

RailCorp has specific timeframe deliverables in relation to the contract, including:

§         full payment for the Goods is required to be received by RailCorp no later than 14 calendar days following the date of RailCorps Letter of Acceptance; and

§         removal of the Goods is required to be completed no later than 28 calendar days following the date of RailCorps Letter of Acceptance.

 

An on-site inspection of the sale items is available to tenderers on Thursday 24 July, Friday 25 July and Saturday 26 July 2008 between 0900 and 1100 hours at RailCorp's Chullora Yard, Worth St Chullora.  Inspections are by appointment only through Mr Bob Urquhart Ph: 8922 0833 / Mob: 0402 051247.
