Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Provision of Professional Services for preparing a Master Project Schedule (MPS) and associated Work Enabling Plan (WEP) for the new Digital Train Radio System (DTRS - 08/04023

The GSM-R Digital Train Radio System DTRS Project is progressing towards the final stages of a RFP. The key areas of focus in this activity are: a. The development of a Master Project Schedule (MPS) to provide a detailed description of activities with a discernable critical path, b. The extra detail of the augmented activities to be included in the existing model to reflect the staged sector rollout with reference to those activities associated with internal (to RailCorp) works enabling plans. Essentially, these plans deal with the interface logistics for the preferred supplier to access buildings, track areas and supporting infrastructure as well as RailCorp rolling stock. Failure to fully develop these plans will inevitably compromise the exactitude of the GSM-R DTRS contract, potentially leading to contract disputes that may lead to project cost overruns and additional variation-related costs.
