Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Liverpool Station Bus Interchange: Pavement Replacement - 08/08023

The Contractor is to replace the pavement at the bus interchange at Liverpool Station Bus Interchange.  Areas of the existing pavement have failed due to deficiencies in its sub-grade.

The Liverpool Bus interchange is located within Liverpool CBD and is a major transport hub within a district that includes business schools, hospitals, medical centres and shopping centres. During peak periods, railway commuters, bus passengers and school children concentrate at the bus interchange. The afternoon peak is notable for the large numbers of people waiting for buses and will pose challenges for traffic, people and construction management.

RailCorp requires that the Works are constructed to the highest standard, and that the Contractor minimises impediments to traffic and pedestrian movements that would cause delays at the interchange and in nearby streets.  The Contractor must implement a traffic management plan that achieves this latter objective.
