Transport Asset Holding Entity of New South Wales / Allocation & Custody Management of 620 class Heritage rail motor carriage sets - 08/09017

RailCorp is responsible for the preservation of the States core government owned rail heritage assets. There is over 150 years of accumulated State-owned rail heritage in Sydney and across NSW. Over time these assets have been cared for in a long tradition of Community and volunteer effort. The Office of Rail Heritage (ORH) works with a range of community based volunteer run rail heritage organisations which undertake the day to day conservation and management of the core rail heritage assets. In recognition of the need to provide appropriate accommodation and improved presentation of the core rail heritage collection, Expressions Of Interest are being called for from community based organisations to enter into Custody Management Agreement with RailCorp, via the Office of Rail Heritage whereby they take responsibility for designated items of the core heritage collection. A copy of a sample Custody Management Agreement is per Appendix C1.
